While my books have yet to explore different cultures, the adventures of Alexia and Phoebe revolve around making new friends and embarking on thrilling journeys. Introducing traveling as a key theme allows Alexia and Phoebe to experience exciting adventures in the magical worlds they encounter.

A Magical Method of Travel

One challenge I faced was finding a suitable method of travel for the characters. After all, a girl and a unicorn cannot simply hop in a car or board a plane. It may seem amusing that I was concerned about the believability of the travel method in a fantasy book, but I wanted it to make sense within the story. This led me to the concept of the “Rainbow Path.”

In my books, Alexia and Phoebe utilize Rainbow Paths to travel from one place to another. As a unicorn, Phoebe has the ability to open these mystical pathways. However, there are certain limitations to their usage. Whenever a Rainbow Path is formed, it is accompanied by a stunning display of colors, with a vibrant rainbow stretching across the sky. This imagery creates a sense of wonder and magic for the readers. At least, that’s what I hope to achieve!
