Artistic Adventures with Victoria

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! As many of you know, I’ve been working on a children’s book series, and today, I’m happy to introduce the fifth book. This marks the beginning of the writing process, and I’m excited to take you along as I craft this new story.

The First Steps

Every new book begins with a spark of inspiration, and this one is no different. Over the summer, I have been planning the main storyline and planning the key images for the new book. It’s a significant milestone, as these initial steps lay the foundation for everything that follows.

One of the most exciting aspects of this new book is how it ties into the larger narrative. I have an idea for the sixth story, but I encountered a problem with one of the central twists. Fortunately, I found a solution that fits perfectly into this fifth book, setting the stage for the sixth. While this twist won’t play a part in the fifth story, its setup here is crucial for the next book.

A Return to the Original Idea

This book is a return to my original ideas. It will continue the enchanting tale of a girl and her unicorn friend. For those new to the series, let me introduce my beloved characters: Alexia, a curious young girl, and Phoebe, a kind-hearted unicorn. Their magical adventures have taken them to a deserted island, through the Winter Forest, and to see the mysterious birds of Africa. Along the way, they’ve made wonderful new friends, including the White Wolf and the Unicorn of the North.

In this new book, Alexia and Phoebe will embark on a more relaxed adventure, possibly playing a game of hide and seek with new friends. It promises to be a delightful story filled with magic and friendship, perfect for young readers.

Timeline

This is what I’m planning to do – and will write posts for my blog!

• August: Drafting the main story text and getting started with the images. Some ideas still need a bit of polishing.
• September: Completing the final wording and finishing the images.
• October: Matching images with text and polishing the final story.

I’m aiming for a publication date at the beginning of November. Following the release, I’ll be sharing a YouTube video and launching marketing campaigns towards the end of November and the beginning of December. So, more posts on marketing as well.

Final Thoughts

I’m excited to share this journey with you. My upcoming blog posts will dive deeper into the story, offering insights and sneak peeks. Stay tuned for the first key images, which I’ll be sharing in my August 18 post (or I’ll change this post if I can’t pull this through!).
