I blinked, and suddenly it’s a new year—a time for reflection and (possibly) a good cup of tea. Happy shiny new year, everyone!

This year has been a whirlwind, but somehow I got two new Alexia and Phoebe adventures out into the world (the Pink Flamingos one and the Hide and Seek one), tackled a handful of eBook formatting headaches, and even published a coloring book. My second big task for this year has been continuing my tiny YouTube channel. It’s kept me busy—so much to do, even though it’s just me coloring—no grand entrance, no face, no chatter. Sometimes I wonder if I should say something, but then again, the soft scratch of pencils might just be enough.

So, as this next year stretches out before us, I’m diving into yet another Alexia and Phoebe tale. The story’s half-formed in my head, but I still need the text… and the pictures. Details, right? I’m also hoping to make a new coloring book this year. My approach to that last one isn’t exactly what you’d call… streamlined. I watch all these “Make a Coloring Book in an Hour!” videos on YouTube, and it’s like watching a magic trick I can’t figure out. It takes me at least an hour just to overthink the title. In any case, I’ll be busy coloring, writing, and occasionally overthinking every creative decision—so business as usual, really. Did you make any challenging New Year’s resolutions?

To everyone who’s stuck around—reading, watching, coloring along—thank you. Your support and curiosity keep me from scribbling in total silence. Here’s hoping this new year brings a little clarity, some decent jokes, and maybe, just maybe, a finished story or two. Cheers!
